  1. 3/4 cup of water
  2. 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  3. 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  4. 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  5. 1/2 cup of  Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  6. 1 (1 ounce) of envelope dry onion soup mix
  7. 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  8. 1 (1 ounce) of packet dry au jus mix


In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, milk, and dry onion soup mix. Shape this mixture into 8 oval-shaped patties.

Dredge each patty in all-purpose flour until coated evenly.

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Brown the patties on both sides, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Place the browned patties in the slow cooker.
