Made my first Holiday cake today. I Have a long way to go but I was happy with how it turned out 🥰

Chocolate Pecan Piecaken




Chocolate Buttercream recipe: 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened to cooler room temperature
  • 5-6 tablespoons heavy cream 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  •  4 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 3/4 unsweetened natural or dutch-process cocoa powder (I prefer natural) 

Instructions:

With a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle or whisk attachment, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy - about 2 minutes.

Add confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder, heavy cream, salt, and vanilla extract.

Beat on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes.

I tend to beat mine on the longer side as it makes it a little fluffier.

Makes enough to generously frost a two-layer six-inch cake 

Antlers, eyes, and noses are all made with candy melts. Enjoy!!
